Glassing with 1 person using GridSpotter™:

Setup tripod, attach GridSpotter™ to camera screw on tripod,   attach optical device to camera screw on GridSpotter™.  Level GridSpotter™ on tripod.  Mark a reference point on the terrain with a X/Y coordinate on the GridSpotter™ position indicators.  Begin methodical scan of the terrain.  When an object of interest is found, mark it with a X/Y coordinate for future reference. If the tripod is moved, the above procedure can be repeated with the same reference point and X/Y coordinates, so that points of interest can easily be relocated.
Glassing with 2 or more persons using multiple GridSpotter™s:

Setup tripod, attach GridSpotter™ to camera screw on tripod,   attach optical device to camera screw on GridSpotter™.  Level GridSpotter™ on tripod.  Mark a reference point on the terrain with any X/Y coordinate on the GridSpotter™ position indicators. For other   GridSpotter™ s, Setup as before, then move device to X/Y coordinate indicated on first GridSpotter™.  Then use adjustments on tripod to move optical device to reference point of first GridSpotter™, while maintaining GridSpotter™ level.    Begin methodical scan of the terrain.  When an object of interest is found, mark it with a X/Y coordinate for future reference.  The X/Y coordinate can then be communicated to other GridSpotter™ user(s), giving them the ability to easily move their optical devices to the point of interest.
